Meanwhile, brutal and monstrous forces are gathering on the horizon, intent on enslaving her world. Will Celaena find the strength to not only fight her inner demons, but to take on the evil that is about to be unleashed?

The bestselling series that has captured readers all over the world reaches new heights in this sequel to the New York Timesbest-selling Crown of Midnight. Packed with heart-pounding action, fierce new characters, and swoon-worthy romance, this third book will enthrall readers from start to finish.

If you have not read this series yet...no offense but what are you doing with your life. The Throne of Glass series might be the best thing that has happened to me since The Mortal Instruments Series. Sarah J. Maas has created such an amazing and extensive world that I just can not help but get lost in. If you love high fantasy, trust me you will love this series. If you have not read this series you can check out my reviews of Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight. If you could not tell already I love this series and everything I have read thus far. More and more exciting things keep happening and Sarah J. Maas pulls me in further and further into these books. If you read the first two, I do not know why you would even stop. KEEP READING OMG! 5 our of 5 stars for Heir of Fire.

SPOILERS FOR HEIR OF FIRE BELOW!

So...HOLY SHIT! This book was insane. By far the best book yet. Lets get one thing out of the way...I fucking love Rowan. I have a thing for character that are bruting, daunting and mysterious, yet have a vulnerability to them. Now do not get my wrong, I am still team Dorian no doubt. The only person I ship Rowan with is myself. So what if he's 300 years old or whatever. He is incredibility strong and daring yet caring. He pushes Celaena to become stronger and reach her potential which is all you can want from a man. Not someone who is constantly pushing you down, but someone who builds you up to best that you can be. And while I would not mind Celaena and Rowan getting together possibly (and I get why they can't now cause of their parabatai type thing), I get why Sarah brought Rowan into this storyline. To give Celaena a rock. A stable person who will look out for her always and someone that she can trust whole-heartedly. I personally think you should marry your best friend but thats just me. Celaena already got two men fighting over her so I think adding a third one to the mix just is not a good idea. Also, if Rowan was in there with Dorian and Chaol he would take out both of them easy. Anyways, I digress...
Celaena's training was fascinating to me. She is one of the most powerful people there yet she des not know how to control and use her gift. It was nice to see her transformation from being afraid of this fire inside her, to letting it fill her body and take charge of it. The scene where Celaena jumps off the cliff and just destroys the Skinwalkers was so bad ass and ugh I have never wanted to be a person more. Strong, independent, perceptive and fights like a bad ass. That is all a girl could ever want.
The only thing I would have to say is that some of these names are insane to say. Arobynn has just become A-bobby in my mind since book one. Honestly that is how it is going to be forever to be honest with you guys and it is only going to get worst from there. Aedion is just A-dylan. Really it is all the A names that have me struggling.
One of my favorite parts of this book has to be when Luca is in the bottom of the lake and Celaena has to get him out, but then THIS HUGE ONE RED EYED SNAKE MONSTER JUST POPS UP. But what I loved even more were the scenes after that. Where Celaena finally gets a few hits on Rowan for bringing other people into their training and ends up burning his forearms. Woah, things just started getting hot up in here (get it? cause like fire...I'll go now). And then after that where they go to the kitchen and eat and Rowan starts washing dishes (another reason why I am going to marry him. You don't see Dorian doing that shit). In addition, I love the tender moments after Celaena burns out and Rowan becomes the most loving little snuggle bear. Ugh what a mush.
As I was reading I found myself looking forward to the chapters that featured Celaena and Rowan and as I was reading the parts about Manon and Chaol and Dorian, I found myself reading even faster because I just wanted to fly through to the parts that featured Celaena and Rowan. Which brings me to Dorian and Sorcha. OMG I have never been happier to see a bitches head drop to the floor. I am sorry but please leave you can't sit with us. When she first came in part of me was saying, "oh no they found someone else for Dorian and now Celaena and him can never be together!" and the other part of me was like, "this hoe gon die!" And when she did all I was chanting in my head was, "DING DONG THE BITCH IS GONE!" I have never been happier to see a non antagonist die before. Now Manon I was not a huge fan of but I had a nice time watching her grow a heart. I am sure her the witches and the dragons will come into play more and more in the next few books, but reading her bits were not my favorite from time to time. When I was in the middle of some insane shit with Celaena and Rowan the last thing I wanted was to turn the page and see her name.
I am so excited for the next book and can not wait to see what Sarah J. Maas has in store for us.

Are you team Dorian or team Chaol? Did you want Sorcha dead too? Do you wanna bang Rowan?
