April 2019 | Monthly Consumptions

April was quite uneventful for me since I was extremely busy packing up my apartment and moving back to New York. I did watch a couple of things in my down time though.

The first thing I watched this month was Season 7 and then the NEW AND LAST SEASON OF GAME OF THRONES! This show is amazing and if you have not watched it yet...what are you doing. Hop on board and join the hype because it is well worth it. It is the first TV show that has truly felt like a book due to the character development and plot that occurs. We have had the time to watch these characters make decisions and it all comes down to this final season. This show is so intense and not for the faint of heart. What is making the show infinitely better for me are the live tweets and memes about the show. Especially the ones about Arya in episode 3 lmao. 5 out of 5 stars always from me!

The next show I have been watching is Greys Anatomy. I watches seasons 4-9 in April and this show is such an emotional rollercoaster. The medical drama series focuses on a group of young doctors at Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital, who began their careers at the facility as interns. This show is thrilling, sexy and heartbreaking. This show gets 5 out of 5 stars from me!

The next thing I watched this month was Avengers: Infinity War in preparation for Avengers: End Game. If you do not keep up with Marvel movies, I highly recommend that you do. It is an immense time commitment but is highly rewarding in the end. This movie was great and of course had all my favorite people in it, but it did feel like a set up for the next and final movie in this saga. Almost like a part 1 in a finale. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars. It left me wanting more which was its purpose but it did not fulfill me completely.

The next thing I watched was Special on Netflix Special is about a gay man with cerebral palsy who is working through being gay – as in, wanting to get laid, have a relationship, being independent – moving away from his overprotective mom, and cerebral palsy, which he has been lying to people about. Ryan was in a car accident when he was around 20 years old, and he blamed his limp and lack of dexterity on his car accident instead of on cerebral palsy. It’s amazing because you can see how people shrug with, “no big deal” when they attribute his differences to a car accident. This show is fantastic and I flew through it in no time. Each episode is 15 minutes and are filled with dark humor that had me laughing out loud at times. I would give this show 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The next thing I watched was the Disappearance of Madeleine McCann. The series of eight hour-long shows looks at the 2007 case of Madeleine McCann, who disappeared from a holiday apartment in the popular and somewhat luxurious Portuguese resort run by Mark Warner Holidays in Praia Da Luz on May 3rd, 2007. This series was a bit slow and redundant for me. While I do find the case fascinating, I found myself getting bored after a while. I love true crime series but this did not catch my attention like other series do. I would give this series a 3 out of 5 stars.

The next show that I have been watching is Celebrity Juice which is a British comedy panel show. This show is known for its crude and sexual humor where they have celebrities from the likes of Vicky Patterson from Geordie Shore to Ed Sheeran compete in ridiculous games for points. The show is my type of silly humor and is not for everyone. I have been watching it since I was a teenager and it does have a special place in my heart. I would give this show 4 out of 5 stars.

And that is everything I have watched this month. What did you watch this month? What should I watch next? Let me know in the comments down below!

Thanks Hons!
