Years in the making, Sarah J. Maas’s #1 New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series draws to an epic, unforgettable conclusion. Aelin Galathynius’s journey from slave to king’s assassin to the queen of a once-great kingdom reaches its heart-rending finale as war erupts across her world. . .

Aelin has risked everything to save her people―but at a tremendous cost. Locked within an iron coffin by the Queen of the Fae, Aelin must draw upon her fiery will as she endures months of torture. Aware that yielding to Maeve will doom those she loves keeps her from breaking, though her resolve begins to unravel with each passing day…

With Aelin captured, Aedion and Lysandra remain the last line of defense to protect Terrasen from utter destruction. Yet they soon realize that the many allies they’ve gathered to battle Erawan’s hordes might not be enough to save them. Scattered across the continent and racing against time, Chaol, Manon, and Dorian are forced to forge their own paths to meet their fates. Hanging in the balance is any hope of salvation―and a better world.

And across the sea, his companions unwavering beside him, Rowan hunts to find his captured wife and queen―before she is lost to him forever.

As the threads of fate weave together at last, all must fight, if they are to have a chance at a future. Some bonds will grow even deeper, while others will be severed forever in the explosive final chapter of the Throne of Glass series.

If you have not read this series yet...no offense but what are you doing with your life. The Throne of Glass series might be the best thing that has happened to me since The Mortal Instruments Series. Sarah J. Maas has created such an amazing and extensive world that I just can not help but get lost in. If you love high fantasy, trust me you will love this series. If you have not read this series you can check out my review of Throne of Glass to see why you should read these books. If you could not tell already I love this series and everything I have read thus far. More and more exciting things keep happening and Sarah J. Maas pulls me in further and further into these books.

I cannot believe this series is over. I cried and cried towards the end of the book and honestly books do not make me cry often. I started reading these books when I was a sophomore in high school and i have now finished it as a junior in college and I have seen these books grow and develop with me. I put off reading this book for a while because I did not want it to be over. Seven books later and here we are. I could not be happier with the way this book ended. Sarah J. Maas developed this world so beautifully and I saw her writing grow with her characters. I have fallen in love with all her characters (even Chaol) and guys I just DONT WANT IT TO BE OVERRRRR :( I give this book 5 million stars out of 5! Everything I could dream of in the end of a series.

If you have not read Kingdom of Ash please do not read any further! There are spoilers below!

In the next installment of the New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series, follow Chaol on his sweeping journey to a distant empire.

Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the Captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the King of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken.

His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica—the stronghold of the southern continent's mighty empire. And with war looming over Dorian and Aelin back home, their survival might lie with Chaol and Nesryn convincing its rulers to ally with them.

But what they discover in Antica will change them both—and be more vital to saving Erilea than they could have imagined.

If you have not read this series yet...no offense but what are you doing with your life. The Throne of Glass series might be the best thing that has happened to me since The Mortal Instruments Series. Sarah J. Now I was ready to skip over this book because I did not think it was worth the read. As someone who has hated Chaol from the start I did not want to read a book that was entirely him. And then after reading Queen of Shadows I REALLY was in no mood to read this novel. That being said, do not skip over this book but it definitely was not my favorite.

This book started as a novella and Sarah J. Maas just kept writing and writing and some how a novella became a nearly 700 page book. It felt like I was reading an entirely different story set in the same world. So many different characters were introduced that will be a crucial part of the plot in the last novel (which I have already started reading). I did not really fall into this story until the last third. The only thing that kept my interest was the coupling up of numerous people which I felt like was unnecessary but not hated. I found myself skimming through it a lot and honestly I wished it stayed a novella. The one piece I found truly interesting was Maeve's background. Otherwise I did not like this book, but I did finish it because I realized its importance.

I would give this book 2 and 1/2 stars out of 5. You cannot skip this book in the series but I wish I could have.

November 2018 | My Monthly Consumption

Hello you sacks of beautiful people! I know it has been such a long time, but I have been extremely busy with school lately and it has been difficult to keep reading while reading for my homework assignments. Anyways I thought I would jump in with my monthly consumptions for the month of November.

The first thing I began to watch was the Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj. I really enjoyed this one shot comedic take on what is going on in the world today. It was a good blend between John Oliver's This Week Tonight and Russell Howard's Good News. I like that there are new episodes released every week and have eye-opening commentary on the current political climate. Overall I would give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The next thing I watched was The Haunting of Hill House and OH MY GOD I loved this show (which should not be surprising considering everyone and their mother loved this show). This show was not your typical horror show and it is what made me fall in love with it. The suspense that it kept you in and how it messed with your mind mentally is what really drove this series home for me. I also went back and rewatched it to find the hidden ghost that could be found in every single scene. I would give this show 5 out of 5 stars.

This next series on Netflix I watched was the newest season of Great British Bake Off and this is just a show I like to keep on in the background as I am doing work. I love how this baking competition is now where near as intense as the American ones I grew up watching. I also find myself falling in love with the contestants and their love for one another. Also Noel's outfits on the show are always things I dream of being able to pull off. One day I'll be a goth king just like him. 5 out of 5 stars.

I also rewatched my favorite movie of all time Seven staring Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. I love crime movies/shows and I love the incorporation of the seven deadly sins in this movie. 7 our of 5 stars always

I also watched Trevor Noah's comedy special Son of Patricia and I really enjoyed it. It was a much more personal side of him that was different than what we usually see on The Daily Show. It was pretty much everything he could not say on television and I was here for it. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The last thing that I watched for this month was The Christmas Chronicles and this I am a little on the fence about. It is the first Christmas movie I watched for the season and it was not really my cup of tea, The movie started out strong but then turned weird when the cat like elves started flossing. It reminded me a lot of the Santa Clause movies just not as good. Maybe if I was younger and watching it I would have liked it more but it just did not do a good job of putting me in the Christmas spirit. I liked Kurt Russel as Santa but the writing and the storyline did not do it for me. 2 out of 5 stars.

Those were my November 2018 Monthly Consumptions!
What did you enjoy this month? Let me know in the comments below!
