SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME TRAILER TALK *SPOILERS*

WARNING THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR AVENGERS: ENDGAME
With the death and rebirth of our beloved Peter Parker in Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home seems like less of a "YAY! School trip" movie and rather a "I just watched my mentor / father figure die to save the world." Not to say that this movie that there isn't more spectacle to this movie now that we have Jake Gyllenhaal's Mysterio in action as well as the movie's equally mysterious villains.

But still, while Far From Home’s first trailer became a lot more intriguing to watch in retrospect after digesting the events of Avengers: Endgame, this one tackles a lot of what Peter is going through personally while raising some interesting questions! Thanos and Iron Man’s rival snaps did more than cull and restore half of all life. Apparently, they created the Marvel multiverse. Or was it always there?

Regardless, I am very excited for this movie! Peter Parker has been my day one since he was Toby McGuire. But Tom Holland has found his way into my heart.  Ned's role as the guy in the chair is such a classic sidekick move and reminds me of Wade from Kim Possible. I will definitely be first in line when this movie comes out July 2nd.

What did you think of the new trailer? Whose your favorite Marvel Superhero? Let me know in the comments down below!

Thanks Hons,
Lee Chand

  2. Marvel movies are fantastic. I am looking forward to seeing how Peter Parker deals with the loss of Tony Stark. That man was the father figure in his life ever since he lost his Uncle Ben. I am also looking forward to Mysterio and this whole new multiverse and how it ties Endgame and this new saga together. Excited to see what you think.

  4. My first thought was that Mysterio was conning them regarding his being from an alternate dimension. Hell, who knows, maybe he’s befuddled Fury and Hill as well.

I just don’t think Marvel/Sony would implement the multiverse right after Endgame. Seems suspect, I tells ya!

  5. Endgame was the perfect way to close out this branch of the MCU that started ten years ago. Introducing the multi-verse, I feel, is a way-too-convenient of an explanation on how you can bring back everyone that didn’t survive in Endgame. While I feel that Kevin Feige wouldn’t resort to such a cheap tactic, it is after all how comic books are able to keep bringing characters back from the dead. But what can work on paper, doesn’t necessarily translate well to film.

  6. I had hoped maybe DC might get their act together enough to repair their brand by introducing a multiverse to explain just how evil our heroes were in their crossover movies, and thus be the first to introduce that multiverse concept to a moviegoing public. Nope, Marvel is going to beat them to the punch there too. Sorry DC, you’ve officially lost.
