June Book Haul!

So I have been in a reading slump for quite a while so this haul is going to feature books I have received over the last several months. So starting from the bottom up...

  • Deadly Class Vol. 1 Reagan Youth by Rick Remender
  • Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
  • City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
  • These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman
  • Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver
  • Fairest by Marissa Meyer
  • Seraphina by Rachel Hartman
  • Chasing Merlin by Sarah White
  • Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
  • Angelfall by Susan Ee
  • Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh
  • Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • Popular: A Memoir by Maya Van Wagenen
  • Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Deadly Class: I have never read a graphic novel before, but I feel like this book would be a great start. A school for deadly assassins I feel will be the perfect start to hopefully a long love go graphic novels.

Outlander: Outlander has recently received so much hype thanks to the release of the TV adaptation. Outlander is about a 1945 combat nurse hurled back in time by forces she could not explain and finds herself in 1743 Scotland.

City of Bones: I love City of Bones and the Mortal Instruments series. I have City of Lost Souls and City of Heavenly Fire is hardcover but I wanted the first book in the series to have for me and I have donated my paperback copy to my local library.

These Broken Stars: The cover of this book is fucking gorgeous and I know nothing about this book other than everyone loves it and the second book is even prettier with the orange and pink.

Pandemonium: I read Delirium about two years ago and it helped me get into reading young adult novels. I have an ebook of it but I wanted to get a hard copy of at least one of these books.

Fairest: Fairest is the prequel to the Lunar Chronicle Series about Queen Levana. I have yet to start Cinder but I was wondering if I should read Fairest or Cinder first and just read the books in the order they are published.

Seraphina: Seraphina is about a kingdom where dragons and people coexist with one another. That is  pretty much all I have heard about this but it seems awesome. I am all about fantasy.

Chasing Merlin: I saw fellow reader Katytasic haul this book and while ago and I figured I would give it a go. It seems super interesting and I love the whole story of King Arthur and Merlin. I remember when I was little I loved the movie Shrek the third because it had Justin Timberlake as King Arthur and the school was called Worcestershire.

Mistborn: Everyone has been talking about Mistborn and I have no idea what it is about but everyone loves it and I am sure that I will love it too.

Angelfall: When angels fall and destroy the world there are only pockets of humans left. But angels fly away with Penryn's sister she will do anything to get her back.

Hyperbole and a Half: This book was written by fellow blogger Allie Brosh whose blog is freakin hilarious. After reading her blog I could not wait to get her book.

Wicked: Honestly just this cover interested me and I have yet to read a Jennifer L Armentrout book and I think I might as well start.

Popular: Popular is about a young girl who finds a book about how to be popular in the 50s but she decided follow the book now in modern day. It seems hilarious and something that would be a quick read and just super funny.

Half-Blood: My friend has told me to read Half-Blood for the longest time because it is like Percy Jackson meets Vampire Academy and I love both of those series. I am dying to read these but I would like to complete the Heroes of Olympus series before I start another series about demigods.

Let me know if you have read any of these books and which are your favorites so I know what to read first!

Thanks hon
Lee Chand

  2. Such a great loot of books! I LOVE CITY OF BONES so I hope you will enjoy it <3 Although Fairest was the one I liked least of the series, it was an interesting read. It wasn't bad though, it was good. The rest were great. I also liked Seraphina fairly well too. Hope you enjoy all these reads :D

    1. OMG I have already read City of Bones 3 times!! I love that book and it pushed me into book blogging! And the thing about Fairest is I like books that explain history. Like my favorite Harry Potter is the Prisoner of Azkaban because it explains Harry's parents past and how they came to where they are!
