Rainbow of Books!!!

As some of you may or may not know I am a huge supporter of the LGBQIA+ community and as of June 26th 2015, gay marriage is legal throughout all 50 states!!! To celebrate I have decided to create a Rainbow Book Tag where I list some of my favorite books in a rainbow order type thing....you get what I am trying to say!

The first color in the rainbow is RED!!! And what book is red?? The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater (Book #2 of The Raven Cycle)! Well the spine is red and the cover is super pretty so why not!
The second book is City of Glass by Cassandra Clare (Book #3 in the Mortal Instruments Series)! This book was one of my favorite Mortal Instruments books because it told us so much history about the shadowhunter world and where they all came from. Has to be one of my favorite books!
The next book I have is not necessarily yellow, but without the dust jacket–which is how I own it– the spine is yellow and that book is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling (Books #7 in the Harry Potter Series)! This book was everything for me! It made me laugh and cry and I felt so much love for every single character. Harry Potter changed my life and brought me into reading and I will never forget the hours I spent reading those books.
The next book I have is Heir of Fire by Sarah J Mass (Book #3 in the Throne of Glass Series)! I first read this book after BEA last year and it was amazing! It was a very good and happy time in my life! I was traveling for my cousin's wedding and I the air and the feelings around me just made me feel so happy!
For blue I have Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor (Book #1 in the Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy)! This cover is just gorgeous and I love the feathers and the mask. I actually have a mask from Venice that looks exactly like the one on the cover!

And finally for purple I have Across the Universe by Beth Revis which I have not read yet, but the cover is so beautiful sometimes I just take it off my shelves and look at it! It is truly beautiful!
This huge movement in the United States has touched my so deeply! I am so proud to be apart of a generation that can make such a change possible!
Thank You
Lee Chand

  1. I am so happy that the US finally made a decision regarding gay marriage. Why shouldn't they have the same rights we have? Love your choices! You should definitely read Across the Universe. it was so good!

  3. I completely agree with you about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I loved how JK Rowling tied everything together, like how the diary in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was a hocrux and how Harry was able to speak parsletongue because he was a hocrux. It was Harry Potter that encouraged me to love reading and to live many lives through books. Through reading, I can honestly say that I have lived more lives than a cat!
I still remember being in middle school and being intimidated by how big the harry potter books were. A friend encourage me to watch the 1st movie and I immediately fell in love with Hogwarts and Harry Potter. I started reading Harry Potter and I went through the entire series in a week or two.

I loved Severus! He taught me not to judge a book by its cover. He was always Dumbledore's man, not Voldemort's!!

  5. Yay, I was right! The second I saw the word "rainbow" I knew what this post was going to be about. Such a lovely idea- and Harry Potter being on the rainbow is awesome too!! :D I swear Harry Potter is what made me get so addicted to reading too! It was amazing how J. K. Rowling neatly tied up all loose knots in The Deathly Hallows. It was such a satisfying read. Love this post! :)
